No respect to community service?
I am looking for an Accounting job in Sydney. I have 1 year of Accounting experience in a museum as a Bookkeeper. I write down in my Resume about that experience but I do not conclude in the resume that my experience is gotten from non-profit organization (non payment). All of the employers and job agents seem lose their mood after knowing that what I am doing is just a volunteer experience. However I learn a lot from that company and I have devoted 1 year managing the accounting system there. I looking for paid job for 3 months already, but no one is interested with the volunteer experience although I applied for junior level
Respect is something that is earned over duration of time. It is earned by showing up on time, listening intently, displaying a solid work ethic, and being thorough in all that you do on a daily basis.
Respect is also earned by going above and beyond what is expected of you without expectation of anything in return for doing it. This also means that you shouldn’t stand around bitching, complaining, and making statements such as, “That’s not my job.” It means that occasionally you will have to perform duties that are outside your scope of responsibility.
During this age of the entitlement there is a common – lack respect for others yet expectations of respect from peers. o_O
