If you were me “which line would u take out” from my Resume?

It seems like I have some extra lines here in my previous job experience section ( i have already mentioned that i know ms word and ms excel under the skills section ) hmm….i am not sure… which line to be deleted .. it seems a little too much because my other job experience has only 3 bullet points..

Having hired many people over the years for several different companies I think I am qualified to give you a little advice on an effective resume. First of all, either take out the second line or modify it to read: “Adept at using multi-meters, etc. It is generally redundant information, however if there is no other place on your resume where your familiarity with the tools needed to do your job are specifically listed and you need to leave the information in, then you should change the wording just a little bit. A screener will probably assume from the information contained in the first line that the prospective employee would be able to use the tools necessary to perform those functions. You could also combine point one and point three by adding the word “using” to the end of the first sentence and dropping “Generated test reports”. The first line would just read “Experienced in reading and Interpreting mechanical, optical and electrical specifications using MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.” Also I suggest you remove the last two words in your last sentence (“as necessary”) or even reword the sentence to something like: “Promoted to management position entailing supervision and training of new employees within my first year of employment” or “Promoted to position which required the management and training of team members within one year of hire date”. You will want to tailor the exact language to fit the tone of the remainder of your resume. Next of all, make certain that you check and double check your spelling, punctuation and grammar. Run it through at least two different grammar/spelling checkers. AOL has a decent one in their e-mail section. Just make certain to reset the parameters before using it, then paste your resume into an e-mail just as though you were writing a letter. Then just run it through the spelling checker. There is also a fairly good spelling checker at: Spellcheck.net. It doesn’t check the grammar or sentence structure but it does a decent job with the spelling and it is both easy to use and free. Potential employers look for accuracy and attention to detail in prospective employees. One of the ways we weed through the piles of Resumes we receive is to look for those people who do not take the time or devote the attention required to ensure that they have spelled their words correctly or capitalized the first word in their sentences or even their names. I realize that correct grammar and punctuation no longer seem important in this time of text messaging but, rightly or wrongly, you are judged by the words you choose and how you utilize them. It is a very bad habit to fall into using the text messaging slang that seems to have permeated the Internet because it sometimes ends up carried over into letters and resumes where it reflects very poorly on the writer. More than once, I have seen people I knew who were very intelligent and perfectly capable of doing a job passed over, because they didn’t take the time to see that their resume reflected their intellect.
